To start talking about object identity we give some definitions of this term found in the literature.

In an object-oriented system, each object is unique. The uniqueness of an object is reached by introducing an object identifier. This identifier is independent of the
values of an objects attributes. This means the objects can be distinguished from each other without comparing their values or their behavior. The object identity is
system generated and can not be influenced by the user.
